"We have our hands in the dirt," says Michal Sella, Givat Haviva CEO, meaning that Givat Haviva is not busy with campaigns, research, or changing public discourse, but rather in the Sisyphean, daily, challenging, and not always rewarding work of education, even in challenging areas of Israeli society.
At Givat Haviva, Jews and Arabs work together as an intrinsic part of our organizational and ethical worldview. As a result of these long years of partnership, the Center has accumulated a unique body of knowledge and expertise concerning everything related to living in a shared society in Israel.
Our activity focuses on the fields of education, language, culture, and art, viewing these as vehicles for promoting a flourishing:democratic society - based on mutual respect, trust, pluralism, and equality - that benefits all its citizens and strives to establish peace with its neighbors.
